Packhelp

2019–2026

Packhelp is a tech-enabled, full-service platform that helps businesses of all sizes design, order, and manage custom packaging and branded merchandise online. It’s one of the leaders in its category, serving customers across Europe.

I joined at the seed stage to tackle unwieldy infrastructure and slow, unreliable deployments so engineers could ship faster.

As the company grew through Series A and B, my role evolved just as quickly. I wore many hats across DevOps, SRE, security, and platform engineering, adapting to what the company needed along the way.

Over several years, I kept our services running smoothly and within budget while leading the move from an expensive Heroku setup to autoscaling infrastructure on AWS and Kubernetes, managed with Terraform.

I introduced observability built around SLIs and SLOs to better understand service reliability and guide improvements. And to keep engineers happy and productive, I built an internal developer portal that automated much of our day-to-day operations.

  • auto-scaled dynamic AWS/K8s infra
  • push-button deterministic deployments
  • repeatable, documented infra as code via Terraform
  • self-service dev platform with auto-provisioned envs
  • observability, monitoring, SLIs, SLOs
  • landing scaled to 15k rps max capacity
  • custom bare metal GH Actions runners
  • backups and IR process

Lead Engineer

VeewMe

2016–2018

Working directly with US-based real estate photography firms, I’ve built VeewMe, a platform for presenting properties through dedicated websites and virtual tours.

The platform grew to serve photography professionals across multiple US states, becoming part of their day-to-day workflow as they delivered photography and marketing materials to real estate agents.

I rebuilt the system from a handful of PHP files into an extensible Python/Django application, hosted on AWS. Working directly with the company’s executives, I designed most of the UX and product features, and built a small engineering team to support ongoing development.

  • built from scratch to revenue
  • property video generation from data and photos (Lambda, FFMPEG)
  • multi-party payment system (Braintree)

Co-founder

Haikode

2014–2016

As Node.js grew in popularity, I co-founded a software agency specializing in JavaScript and Node.js. We built web applications with JS across the stack, from backend services and APIs, to interactive frontends.

We worked with Polish and US clients, building prototypes, MVPs, to help them test business ideas and lay the groundwork for further development.

Projects included:

  • prototype for an HR startup app (system, admin, APIs)
  • interactive promo site for a Hollywood blockbuster movie

Co-founder

Eventelo

2015

I co-founded a consumer mobile app that helped people discover interesting events nearby, using data from Facebook’s events APIs. I designed the product and built the entire frontend, including the mobile app.

We shipped an MVP and briefly reached around 500 monthly users, but lacked the marketing budget and runway to grow the audience enough to pursue monetization. Meanwhile, Facebook tightened its API policies, putting the app’s reliance on its event data at risk.

Frontend Engineer & Design

Gemius, DCS, Freelance

2011–2014

I started my career designing and building websites for freelance clients, and developing web applications at DCS and Gemius. My work ranged from visual design and Python/Django development to frontend engineering on three enterprise analytics products for online advertising.

  • reduced e2e testing time from 90min to 15-20min
  • contributed to an in-house JS framework
  • web, branding, and UX design
